Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn Mayer’s 22 Jump Street is two times the laughs, in theaters now
*I came prepared to laugh going by what the promotions show on the Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn Mayer presentations of 22 Jump Street starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, but it was the chemistry between them that made it memorable. Their comedic timing together surprised me and reminded me – not trying to tell me age – of the comedy duo Abbott and Costello. 22 Jump Street is two times laughs so be prepared. The Rated-R comedy was released to theatres June 13, 2014.
Also an action film this sequel to 21 Jump Street follows two brothers who are undercover cops as they try to bring down a drug-ring on a college campus. During the process they have to deal with their somewhat strained “brother relationship.”
Produced by Jonah Hill, Neal H. Moritz and Channing Tatum 22 Jump Street even provides laughs during the credit-roll with these skits of “future” sequels: 23 Jump Street, 24 Jump Street, 25 Jump Street, etc…all funnier than the next.
The script was written by Michael Bacall, Rodney Rothman, and Oren Uziel. Taken from stories by Hill and Bacall 22 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The family friendly film is a Media Rights Capital Original Film and Lord Millen Production.
22 Jump Street also stars Ice Cube, Queen Latifah, Peter Stormare, Wyatt Russell, Amber Stevens, Jullian Bell, the Lucas Brothers, Nick Offerman, Jimmy Tatro, Craig Roberts, and Carolina Aaron. Learn more about the film and cast at www.22JumpStreetMovie.com.

Screen Actors Guild host annual ‘Actors Fore Actors’ Celebrity Golf Classic fundraiser at an exclusive location in Burbank
*I went to cover the arrival of over 50 notable actors/actresses at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) annual “Actors Fore Actors” celebrity golf classic fundraiser for the SAG Foundation. The event was hosted by Tim Allen (“Home Improvement”) and Richard Karn (“Home Improvement”). The “green” carpet arrivals gave me the opportunity to see and interview briefly some of my favorite actors in television and film.
“My wife and I like to do this,” said Tim Allen (“Last Man Standing”) about golfing. “It’s something we can do together.” When I asked him what project he was on he said, “Currently I’m in middle of a comedy tour. I had 12 concerts and I’m at the last three.”
The “Actors Fore Actors” golf celebrity fundraiser was held on June 9, 2014 at an exclusive location where over 50 celebrity gofers played 18 competitive rounds of golf to help raise critical funds for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Catastrophic Health Fund and Emergency Assistance Programs for performers and their families.
“Looking good and playing good is two different things,” laughed Anthony Anderson, who will appear in ABC’s “Black-ish” series, and Food Network’s “Food Fest” series. “I’m a regular golfer…18 years,” he admitted.
“I’ve been too busy to take the game up any more,” said Kim Coates (“Sons of Anarchy”) about the 18 rounds he was about to do. “I miss the game.” When asked about upcoming projects Kim added, “I have a film, Fighting Man, opening up in Canada. I play a priest – that’s a change for me. My mother said, ‘Is it a horror movie!’”
With over 50 high-profile celebrities, no wonder it was an exclusive location imagine the security needed. I was able to interview golf host Tim Allen, Anthony Anderson (Transformer, “Guys and Kids”), Kevin Zegers (The Mortals), Kim Coastes, Donald Faison (“The Exes”), Gregory Harris (“Reckless”), Joe Mantegna (“Criminal Minds”), Michael Pena (End of Watch), and Pamela Reed (Kindergarten Cop) who serves as the Vice President of the SAG Foundation’s board.
Those that I saw and couldn’t get to for an interview included Alfonso Ribeiro (“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”), Carmine Giovinazzo (“CSI:NY”), Kate Linder (“The Young & the Restless”), Kevin Rahm (“Mad Men”), Michael Weatherly (“NCIS”), Paula Trickey (“Pacific Blue”), Peter Gallagher (“Covert Affairs”), and Sam Page (“House of Cards”).
The SAG Foundation hosts two charity golf tournaments in Los Angeles and New York to benefit the Catastrophic Health Fund and Assistance Programs. It has raised nearly 1.2 million. Learn more at www.SAGFpoundation.org or www.Golf.SAGFoundation.org.
