*Recently, it was revealed Deborah Cox will re-record Whitney Houston‘s hit songs for the upcoming Lifetime biopic, “I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story.”

And reportedly she’s already recorded one of Houston’s classics —  her biggest hit and the title track for the film, “I Will Always Love You.”

TMZ garnered audio of Cox covering the iconic hit and folks in the background listening to Cox sing her rendition cheered her on.

The cover might be feature during the climatic part of the film, which is built around Houston’s tumultuous yet misunderstood relationship with Bobby Brown.

Nevertheless, the TV movie is not out to make anyone look bad. Although, Houston’s family have been against the film being made.

According to Entertainment Weeklydirector Angela Bassett shared her good intentions for the film’s portrait on Houston’s life.

“We’re not interested in dragging her life again through, you know, the muck,” she said. “She had to play out her choices, and the consequences of them, in a very hot, glaring spotlight, but we’re not interested in dragging that through again.”

The musical biopic will be released in early 2015 on Lifetime.
