*Following her arrest over the weekend, Farrah Franklin has spoken out about the incident, saying she is “unbothered and staying prayed up and, away from any negativity.”
The former member of Destiny’s Child was arrested in Myrtle Beach over the weekend early Sunday morning on disorderly conduct.
The AP reports that police records show Franklin was found sleeping in a neighbor’s yard after a night of drinking with two male football players, who called police after she was “yelling, slamming doors and refused to stop when asked.”
Today, Franklin, 33, took to her Instagram to open up about the incident.
Alongside the above pic, she posted: “Unbothered and staying prayed up and, away from any negativity. #StillStanding?? #GodsChild Don’t judge what you don’t know. The sad thing is people LIVE for drama but run from the truth, Smh. There’s always 3 sides to a story your side, my side and the TRUTH! But the truth is normally not as interesting as a lie, lol. Thank you to EVERYONE who has reached out to send me love and Blessings during this messy time in my life it’s greatly appreciated. #TheNerveOfSomePeople #AllICanDoIDLaugh #OnlyGODCanJudgeMe #MyLife #Instagram.”
On Twitter, she added, “I pray for God to give me strength in every weak and weary place in My life and, for Him to turn My obstacles into Victories. Amen.”
Before that, she posted a picture of a child with the saying “May the LORD turn all your sour moments into sweet lemonade.”
Franklin, who had a very brief stint alongside Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams in Destiny’s Child was released from jail around noon Sunday after posting $280 bond. NFL players Da’Quan Bowers and Ricky Sapp went out with Franklin in Myrtle Beach on Saturday night, and when they returned to Sapp’s home, it was clear that Franklin was intoxicated. The man told police they thought the former singer might be involved with drugs since she would go to the bathroom for extended periods of time. When she got out of hand, the football players called the police.
Beyonce’s former bandmate was found laying down in the front yard of a neighbor, claiming she was going to sleep in the woods. TMZ reported that police described her as “highly intoxicated,” but said she denied using drugs.
