*How tired are we of restaurants, who have been served with complaints and lawsuits based on unfair practices, releasing statements that say that their “core values are to treat employees fairly…yaddy…yaddy….yah.”
Apparently, this practice wasn’t in place when a Houston fast-food restaurant made one of their workers get down on her knees to clean their floors…especially when this was not in her job description.
Whitney Clark was hired as a cook at a Houston fast-food restaurant. Somewhat overweight, she had become accustomed to enduring taunts about her weight.
“I just [didn’t] let it get to me because you hear it over and over and over,” she told KHOU 11 News about the daily fat jokes her Whataburger manager allegedly made.
But Clark told the news station how things changed one day and went from insulting to physically ridiculous.
“She said we’ve got to get on our hands and knees and clean the floor with a toothbrush,” Clark told the news station.
