yaya dacosta, whitney houston,

*YaYa DaCosta is channeling Whitney Houston in the upcoming biopic,  “I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story.”

DaCosta re-created Whitney Houston’s 1987 album cover, “Whitney.”

The multi-platinum album produced four number pop hits: “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All,” “So Emotional” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go.” Let’s hope for performance sequences of these hits in the film

She had no problem stepping into Houston’s shoes and re-creating the magic of the iconic album artwork.

“I just looked at the picture and did the pose!” she told Entertainment Weekly.

DaCosta is currently filming the musical biopic for Lifetime, and Angela Bassett is making her directorial debut with the film.

The Lifetime biopic will be released in 2015, and will detail her rise to fame and tumultuous relationship with Bobby Brown, who is being played by Arlen Escarpeta.
