chris-brown*Prison is a helluva wake up drug. Apparently Chris Brown knows this well as he took a moment to put up a reflective post on Instagram.

A picture with the message shows the 25-year-old entertainer wearing an orange prison jumpsuit in court while including a the following statement, saying he’s “made a lot of mistakes.”

The following is Chris Brown’s Instagram statement in its entirety:

‘I been through a lot in my life. Made a lot of mistakes along the way. But through it all I’ve always been true to myself and through God I’ve been able to take care of my family! I should regret some things but I think the lessons learned will shape me into a real man. I’m grateful and appreciative! Thank you for life!”

Not one to just leave it at the message, Brown posted two videos of him singing D’Angelo‘s hit “Untitled (How Does It Feel),”

No word if Brown’s choice of song was meant as a message to his on and off girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

In other Chris Brown news, media sources say the entertainer’s plans to premiere his new song with Drake at OVO Fest in Toronto were cancelled in light of Brown being unable to legally enter Canada due to his criminal record. According to reports the collab reportedly features veiled references to Rihanna.
