*There were many days we survived History class only because of the person in the back of class cracking jokes and passing time from bell to bell; Damien Lemon turned being class clown into a career, as he honed the gift of making people laugh from the back of classrooms to the stage, while stopping at Clark Atlanta University to earn a degree.
Lemon returns to New York City this Friday night for a special engagement at SubCulture (45 Bleecker Street), for a late show that promises to be an all-inclusive bug-out fest. Having made his bones on the New York comedy scene, Lemon has moved on to the top clubs around the country and was chosen as a “New Face” during 2013’s Montreal “Just for Laugh Festival.”
Damien Lemon is a comedian on the rise; just last month his appearance on Comedy Central’s “Half Hour”, he’s become a regular on MTV 2’s “Guy Code”, had a role in The Amazing Spiderman and his webseries “D. Lemon in the Morning” is one of the Internet’s gems.
