*A Nevada judge closed the battery case against Flavor Flav upon the Public Enemy hype man completing a domestic violence counseling course.
Flav, whose real name is William Drayton, wasn’t present in court Monday when attorneys Kristina Wildeveld and Dayvid Figler filed the last documents for the October 2012 case.
Flavor Flav pleaded guilty to attempted battery and battery constituting domestic violence in April.
He wielded a kitchen knife while arguing with his longtime girlfriend’s 17-year-old son.
Flav could’ve gotten up to 12 years in prison if the felony assault and child endangerment charges weren’t dropped.
He served probation and completed counseling for the incident, which led to the judge’s decision to close the case.
Nevertheless, Flavor Flav is staying in trouble with the law. He still faces New York charges from a January speeding arrest in Long Island.
