*Mo’Ne Davis, the 13-year-old baseball wonder, covers Sports Illustrated after becoming the first female to throw a shutout in Little League baseball.

Davis made history again. She’s actually the first little league player to ever cover Sports Illustrated.

After making history twice as a little league player, her dream is to play baseball for the University of Connecticut.

“To be honest, I never thought I’d be famous for baseball,” she said. “I want to play basketball, and I could also do both basketball and baseball — but I really want to play basketball.”

Davis is handling her fame pretty well. But she does find fame a little too crazy sometimes.

“People were like, ‘Oh, there are going to be people running up to you taking pictures’ and I thought it was going to be a bunch of little kids. But it’s grown-ups! And that’s, like, creepy,” she said.

Nevertheless, the fame came with the much success the little league player has been experiencing.

She and her teammates are gearing up for the Little League World Series championship in South Williamsport.
