*Chris Rock is returning to “Saturday Night Live” as a host on November 1st with musical guest Prince, NBC announced Monday.

Before “SNL” could make the official announcement, Prince beat them to the punch with a tweeted photo of Rock dressed as His Royal Badness in “Grown Ups 2.”

Rock was an “SNL” cast member for three seasons in the early ’90s and returned to host once in 1996. Prince’s first appearance as a musical guest came alongside Todd Rundgren during a 1981 episode, hosted by Charlene Tilton…

Prince just released two new albums, “Art Official Age” (which went No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B chart) and “PlectrumElectrum” (recorded with his current band 3RDEYEGIRL, and a No. 1 entry on Billboard’s Rock chart).

Rock’s movie “Top Five,” co-starring Rosario Dawson, is set for a December release. Watch a preview below:
