*Naomi Campbell is organizing two charity fashion shows to support the global fight against Ebola.
The supermodel, through her Fashion for Relief foundation, will host a show in New York and one in London, to coincide with their February fashion weeks, reports Telegraph.co.uk.
Since its launch in 2005, Fashion for Relief has raised money for victims of the India terrorist attacks in 2009, the Japan earthquake/tsunami in 2011 and the Haiti earthquake in 2010.
Naomi, who has a home in Kenya, hopes the events will not only raise funds, but help to educate the public over the crisis. The fashion icon recently admitted she is “scared” of the virus and feels a responsibility to fight against the outbreak which has claimed the lives of over 1000 people in West Africa.
She told The New York Post’s Page Six: “People don’t have a clear idea about what Ebola is. …Ebola does not discriminate.”
