Amukamara is a devout Christian who married earlier this year to now wife Pilar Davis — meaning that he did the very thing people like him wait until marriage to do. Hmm…
Rolle claims Amukamara swagger comes from him finally losing his virginity due to his marriage and now sex life with Davis.
“There are a lot of things different about Prince,” Rolle told NJ.com. “For one, he’s married, so he’s [enjoying some things that he wasn’t experiencing before he was married]. For a man, that could definitely help him out.”
He added, “I’m just being honest … it’s helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love.”
“I grew up Catholic, so it just started out as one of those things,” Amukamara told the magazine. “I’d think, ‘If I do this, maybe I can get to heaven,’ so I said no drinks, no sex, all the big things. As I grew up, I realized that’s not what it’s about. It’s about having a relationship with Jesus. It’s not about: ‘Don’t do this. Don’t do that.’ But still, it’s just one of those things I haven’t done, and I don’t see any benefit to doing it.”
Amukamara met his wife three years ago at a nightclub in New York City. Rolle continued to credit his marriage and sex life for his game on the field.
“I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to [have sex],” Rolle said. “He’s just developing more as a man and accepting challenges and being the dominant player that we need him to be that we know he’s capable of.”
Amukamara responded to Rolle’s comments, which went viral. He called Rolle funny, but pointed out that marriage has made him a better man, according to NJ.com.
“I don’t know what to say,” Amukamara said. “I felt it was comical. I know I’ll have a lot of explaining to do to my wife because I know her phone is probably blowing up. But out of respect for her, I don’t want to comment on what happens in mine and my wife’s house.”
And Rolle’s responded again — saying Amukamara response indicates Rolle told the truth about his love life. “It’s true. It is what it is,” Rolle said with a smile on his face. “He knows it’s true.”
