*Queen Latifah will host the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards, it was announced Friday morning.

The talk show host will emcee the Nov. 14 event at the Hollywood Palladium, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The two-hour event will be broadcast for the first time on CBS, beginning at 8 p.m. ET (Pacific zones will be tape-delayed).

“I’m honored to be a part of such a legendary award show,” said Latifah in a statement. “The Hollywood Film Awards have been a staple in the awards season for years, and I’m excited to be the first host to bring them to television!”

CBS will broadcast a red carpet arrivals special beginning at 7:30 p.m. on CBS. It’ll be followed by a live one-hour recap and interview program with “CBS This Morning” anchors Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King.

The Hollywood Film Awards, founded in 1997, is produced by Dick Clark Productions.
