*Stephen Collins has lost his job on “Scandal” in the wake of his own personal scandal involving child molestation.

TMZ on Wednesday posted audio from a therapy session in 2012 that was secretly (and legally in California) recorded by his wife, actress Faye Grant, in which he discusses how he had molested and/or exposed himself to several underage girls years before. [Scroll down to listen.]

The NYPD is currently investigating Collins. An official tells TMZ there are “at least 3 victims” and the nature of the investigation is “inappropriate sexual contact with minors.”

That was enough for ABC and executive producer Shonda Rhimes.

Collins, who famously played the pastor/dad on “7th Heaven,” portrayed a news anchor in one episode of “Scandal” in season two and was set to reprise that role this season. Collins even tweeted about it last month, writing, “Lucky me (should it be Lucky I?…never mind)..shooting another episode of #Scandal today for the amazing @shondarhimes !”

On Tuesday, Collins was cut from his role in the upcoming movie, “Ted 2.”
