*Now there’s a competition show for manicurists.
“The Real” co-host Adrienne Bailon begins her second TV gig on Tuesday (Oct. 7) as the host of “Nail’d It,” featuring 18 of the best up-and-coming nail artists battling each other toward a grand prize of $100,000.
Contestants will use everything from lacquers, gels and acrylics to embellishments and unorthodox materials in their various challenges. The winners and runners up from the first six episodes will compete in a four-part finale until only one artist is left standing to win the grand prize and opportunity to have their designs featured in a cover story for Nail It! magazine.
The contestants will be critiqued by a rotating panel of judges, including CND’s co-founder and style director Jan Arnold and celebrity manicurists Tom Bachik and Terrance Terry.
Bailon, who recently launched her new “Fingertip Fetish” nail polish line, said the personalities of the contestants on the show are just as colorful as their over-the-top creations.
“Nail’d It” premieres Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m.
