*The Chris Rock and Prince tag-team on “Saturday Night Live” was a ratings win despite the controversy and lukewarm reviews.
According to reports, the Nov. 1 broadcast brought in the biggest audience for the show since the Feb. 1 episode with Melissa McCarthy. It drew a 4.9 rating in the metered markets households and a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating in the markets with Local People Meters. That was up by +20%, from last Saturday’s show hosted by Jim Carrey with musical guest Iggy Azalea.
In the show’s target audience of adults 18-49, the ratings gain was 9%, and the highest since March 1 (with host Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck, also 2.4).
“SNL” returns Nov. 15 with host Woody Harrelson and musical guest Kendrick Lamar.
