*Another “Cosby Show” daughter has found herself caught up in the Bill Cosby sex allegation mess.
On Saturday, a cryptic tweet was posted on an unverified Twitter account in Lisa Bonet‘s name. It was made to appear as a veiled comment about Cosby’s sexual misconduct allegations.
“According to the karma of past actions, one’s destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky . . . Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!”
However, according to the 47-year-old actress’ manager, Jillian Neal, it was a hoax.
“I can assure you that is not her Twitter account and I have had the account suspended,” Neal told TheWrap.
The rogue tweet did its job and was picked up by several news organizations and attributed to Bonet. She of course played Denise Huxtable, on the “The Cosby Show.”
As we’ve reported, at least 15 women, including former model Janice Dickinson, have come forward to accuse the 77-year-old actor/comedian of sexual misconduct as well as outright rape in several cases.
Among the other women who have made accusations against Cosby — Florida nurse Therese Serignese, “Incredible Hulk” star Lou Ferrigno’s wife Carla Ferrigno and Michelle Hurd, a prolific actress perhaps best-known for her role on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
In spite of the controversy, Cosby has received love from appreciative audiences. In Melboure, Florida on Friday night, he received two standing ovations. However, during his show he didn’t mention the allegations, but he did refer to them when speaking with a Florida Today reporter after the his performance.
“I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn’t have to answer to innuendos,” Cosby said. “People should fact check. People shouldn’t have to go through that and shouldn’t answer to innuendos.”
So, you might be wondering what Bonet’s reaction to the Cosby predicament is. Well, you’ll just have to keep on wondering ’cause according to Neal, the actress ”continues to have no comment on the subject.”
