*Wow, talk about a role reversal. New York congressman Charles Rangel claims he thought the term “White Cracker” was one of endearment. At least this is how he justified using it, in an interview with Marc Lamont Hill on Monday.

One has to wonder if the congressman was being facetious, seeing as his interview last year with The Daily Beast had him using the term as he compared the Tea Party with “the same group we faced in the South with those white crackers and the dogs and the police” in the Jim Crow era.

But time has passed since the ire-irking incident, and the 84-year-old veteran politician is now just shrugging it off.
