*Lauryn Hill has postponed a concert in Dallas scheduled for Tuesday night (Nov. 4)…and no one knows why.
The former Fugees star has been criticized all year for showing up late to her own shows and/or underperforming. A spokesperson for The South Side Ballroom, where she was due to perform Tuesday, delivered the news via Twitter”
“Postponed: @MsLaurynHill concert, originally scheduled for November 4th, has been postponed. All tickets will be honored on a TBA date.”
Hill was 45 minutes late for a concert in New Orleans on Saturday, Nov. 1. – so late that the venue cut her off mid-performance.
When she finally took the stage at the Voodoo Experience Music Festival, organizers soon dimmed the lights on her because she was taking time away time from the other acts.
Her fans thought it was disrespectful, but a rep for the management told the audience, “Things happen. Lauryn Hill was late.”
Organizers, however, gave her another chance to perform later that night on a smaller stage, but yet again, she was late.
When she did not only take the stage, but rocked it — she didn’t make any acknowledgement of her tardiness or her earlier performance being cut short.
