Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, the 22-year-old woman violently abducted from a Philadelphia street on Sunday, has been found alive in Maryland, reports Philadelphia’s News 10.
Howard County, Maryland Police said she was found along Route 175 in the town. Jessup is 115 miles south of Philadelphia, below Baltimore.
Freeland-Gaither was located in Jessup, Maryland on Wednesday evening. She is said to be doing fine and is overjoyed, according to officials.
As we reported, Freeland-Gaither was abducted by a man as she walked along the street in the city’s Germantown section three days ago. The man forced her down the street and into a car.
She struggled to get away, fighting the man and breaking out the window of the car, but couldn’t escape. The ordeal was caught on surveillance video. See it below:
