*(Via Centric) – It’s no secret black press is struggling. Slews of media outlets are struggling, but black media has been particularly hit hard in the last seven years.
Earlier this week reports swarmed the ‘net that Sister 2 Sister magazine filed for bankruptcy. But reps for the magazine claim “no filings have occurred” as of Thursday, Oct. 30. The glossy’s owner and publisher, Jamie Foster Brown, told Journal-isms the publication will focus on its digital platform.
“The community does not want us to go away,” Brown told Journal-isms’ Richard Princes by phone.
