*Benzino reportedly has himself to blame for being axed from “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
According to TMZ, the TV personality, born Raymond Scott, was let go by producers after making death threats following his involvement in the reunion show brawl.
“He said flat-out he was going to kill us,” former castmate Stevie J told the website, alleging that the 50-year-old terrorized him, his significant other, Joseline Hernandez, along with the show’s producers and staff.
It was announced late last month that the rapper, former co-owner of The Source, was fired from the VH1 series, but this is the first time a reason for the termination has been revealed. Benzino, however, says the network has yet to give him a reason for being axed.
“Stevie J is a habitual liar and VH1 has never given me a reason for being fired,” he told TMZ.
Benzino believes producers had to fire someone following the reunion ruckus, which resulted in criminal charges being filed against Joseline. Benzino says they chose to give him the boot and “keep the crackhead whore.”
