“Honestly—I didn’t wanna do the tour,” Benjamin said in an interview with The Fader. “I’m like, how am I gonna present these songs? I don’t have nothing new to say,” he said.
According to HipHollywood, he prepared himself for the tour by getting 47 custom jumpsuits made during the summer tour.
He started wearing jumpsuits as a way of breathing new life into the performances and to get excited about performing again.
“It became a theme where I was more excited about this than the actual show,” he said.
Speaking of jumpsuits, he’s putting them up on display at an Art Basel exhibit.
“I felt like a sell-out, honestly,” he said. “So I was like, if I’m in on the joke, I’ll feel cool about it.”
And as for Outkast’s future, he also spoke with HipHollywood in a video interview.
