reggie watts,*Comedian and musician Reggie Watts has been selected as the new bandleader for the “Late Late Show with James Corden.” And he’s not unfamiliar at all with the territory, according to the NY Post.

Watts appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Conan” and “Funny or Die.” He’s known for his comedic and musical improvised acts — including on IFC’s “Comedy Bang! Bang!

Other talent has been recruited for the new era of the show as well. Mike Gibbons (“Tosh.0“) will be head writer while Rob Crabbe (“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”) will executive produce.

The series will re-open its doors in January in preparation for a March premiere. In the meantime, Craig Ferguson is finishing his run as host — signing off on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 after 10 years.

The “Late Late Show” will premiere on Monday, March 23, 2015 — being pushed back two weeks than originally planned. James Corden will take over the role as host.
