The reality TV star, who just released her new album “Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart,” ended up getting emotional while she discussed her former love during an interview with “The Russ Parr Morning Show.”
The breakdown, according to Madame Noire, came while K. Michelle was talking about the album, which she confessed was inspired by Elba.
“I think people knew [we were seeing each other]. People kind of hinted that around the time of our musical and everything,” said K. Michelle. I don’t think that I’m snitching on him because he doesn’t really hide it. It’s just what I went through and that’s my life. That’s my art and it is what it is.”
Although opinions vary, K. Michelle maintained that there was no hatred between her and Elba. Still, she did admit that despite labeling “Any Wanna Buy A Heart” as “art” when she allowed him to preview it, Elba hasn’t said a word since its release.
“He knows with my music, I’m the Black Taylor Swift. I’m going to write about you and I’m going to talk about you. He really has no choice,” K. Michelle told Parr. “Within the last week, I haven’t spoken to him about it. I’m sure he’s a little bothered, but my thing is, I feel like I’ve protected you for so long. These are my emotions that I deserve…I have to protect myself and deal with my emotions. I love him and always will.”
“It’s not a hate thing and we don’t hate each other,” she continued. “It’s a timing thing.”
From there, the emotions took over as K noticeably broke down in front of Parr, who tried to console the singer before cutting to a commercial break.
“It’s okay,” he said to her. “K. Michelle is a little upset so we’ll come back and talk with her in a minute.”
