*(Via NY Times) – President Obama went to a military hospital Saturday afternoon to undergo tests after complaining of a sore throat, and was found to have symptoms indicating acid reflux, officials said. He was back at the White House 30 minutes later.
Earlier Saturday, Mr. Obama’s doctor, Capt. Ronny L. Jackson of the Navy, supervised a fiber optic examination of the president’s throat by an ear, nose and throat specialist from Fort Belvoir Medical center, according to a White House statement. The exam revealed “soft tissue swelling,” and Dr. Jackson recommended further diagnostic tests, including a CT scan.
