bill-cosby*Bill Cosby may be utilizing an army of private investigators to help him against women accusing him of rape, sexual assault and drugging, but it may be too little, too late.

Speaking with, top private eyes weighed in on the comedian’s newest defense strategy, saying that Cosby could end up shelling out a lot of money to resolve his legal troubles.

“If he had done this earlier, things would have been a lot better for him now,” private investigator Logan Clarke, who worked on the O.J. Simpson and Casey Kasem cases told TheWrap. “A lot more women would have had second thoughts about coming forward.”

In Clarke’s eyes, he believes that Cosby should expect to “open up his checkbook real wide” as six to eight investigators would be required to handle a case like Cosby’s.

“At this point he’s trying to catch a speeding train loaded with his reputation,” Clarke said, regarding how deep things run for Cosby. “I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I can I can tell you, I don’t think these women are doing it just to jump on the lawsuit bandwagon.”

Knowing that Cosby is at the center of multiple allegations, former president of the “World Association of Detectives,” Allen Cardoza told TheWrap that no private eye would want to work with the entertainer if they find him guilty of what what he is accused of.

In addition, Cardoza shared Clarke’s belief that Cosby’s team should’ve acted faster in handling his situation and explained that Cosby’s team should run background checks on his accusers to see if they’ve ever perjured themselves as well as look for women with sterling reputations that can portray Cosby as a good guy.
