*Tyra Banks and the CW are being sued by former escort-turned-“America’s Next Top Model” contestant Angelea Preston for breach of contract. She claimed she was denied the grand prize because of her background as an escort.
She wants $3 million for wrongfully being kicked off the 17th season of the show. The lawsuit claims both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
Also, the suit claims Preston was entitled to the grand prize, which included $100,000 CoverGirl cosmetics contract. Also, she was “entitled” to a spread in Vogue Italia.
According to the lawsuit, Preston’s background as an escort was known prior to the show, and it shouldn’t have been used against her.
Although she didn’t break any rules before being booted from the show, Lisa D’Amato, won the grand prize and became America’s next top model.
