*About a month after he was shot in his brother-in-law’s house in Pleasantville, PA, rapper Beanie Sigel has been released from a local hospital, according to a report on NBCPhiladelphia.com.
Pleasantville police said Sigel was sent home over the weekend. He isn’t believed to have been the target of the shooting.
The artist was struck in the abdomen before the bullet exited his back around 10 a.m. on Dec. 5. He was found in the basement of the Spruce Avenue home.
On the morning of the shooting, he was spending his last day of home confinement at Umar Salahuddin’s home following a two-year stint in a Pennsylvania prison for tax evasion, the report said.
Sigel’s sister-in-law is considered a person of interest, the report said.
