*Chris Brown had to postpone the start of his “Between the Sheets” tour after a Los Angeles judge denied his request for a waiver to allow him to travel.

Brown’s probation, stemming from his conviction for assaulting Rihanna in 2009, was revoked earlier this month when he violated the provision that he stay put in Los Angeles County. The judge found out about Brown’s probation violation from the publicity surrounding his appearance at a San Jose nightclub where five people were injured during a shooting.

“The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service,” Brown wrote in an Instagram post Monday night. “I promise that I am busting my ass doing it every day until it’s complete. This is the most disappointing news I’ve gotten in a while.”

Brown was to have completed 1,000 hours of community service by the end of this month as part of his probation. He is scheduled to release his “Fan of a Fan” album with Tyga on Feb. 24.

“Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans,” Brown wrote. “The show must go on… Once again I’m sorry for the delay. I love y’all!”

No word on a new date for this Thursday’s scheduled concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, though Brown wrote that the dates would be “just moved around a couple weeks.”
