*Dwight Howard‘s child abuse case is being handled by the Atlanta PD. And he could be prosecuted by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
But in a surprising twist, the Fulton County District Attorney is his uncle Paul Howard, according to TMZ. Could family ties work in his favor?
Originally, TMZ broke the story that Cobb County PD was handling the investigation against Howard who was accused by his baby’s mother Royce Reed of beating his 6-year-old son with a belt buckle.
But the CCPD believes the incident took place in Fulton County where Howard’s uncle has served as district attorney since 1997.
His uncle is going to have to recuse himself from the case (for obvious reasons), which will now most likely be handled by Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens.
