*Michael Jackson’s three children traveled to the Bahamas for the holidays, while their guardian and grandma Katherine Jackson stayed behind in California, according to RadarOnline.
Paris Jackson came home from the Utah boarding school where she was sent after a 2013 suicide attempt to spend the holidays with brothers Prince Jackson and Blanket Jackson, insiders said. But the children’s Christmas celebration was low key since their grandmother, a Jehovah’s Witness church member, does not observe holidays for religious reasons.
Sixteen-year-old Paris, 17-year-old Prince and 12-year-old Blanket traveled to Atlantis Paradise Island with their co-guardian and cousin T.J. Jackson.
T.J.’s brothers Jermajesty and Jaafar Jackson — all three sons of uncle Jermaine Jackson — also tagged along for the beach vacation, according to sources. The family returned to Los Angeles Tuesday.
While Paris and Prince’s biological mom Debbie Rowe posted a photo of her two children on Facebook Monday — tagging it “Babies” — she was not in the picture. She posted a photo of her with Paris during last Christmas.
This is a time of transition for the deceased King of Pop’s children, with Prince turning 18 in February and Blanket’s home schooling ending in favor of the private school where his older brother is a senior.
Blanket is “coming out of his shell,” a source close to the children told Radar exclusively.
As Radar previously reported, Prince plans to start college — and not a show business career — when he graduates high school next summer. Once he turns 18, he will no longer be under the control of a court-appointed guardian.
As for Paris, she will return to the Utah school after the holidays. She is often seen smiling and happy, a contrast to the last message she posted on Twitter before cutting her wrists on on June 5, 2013: “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”
