*Los Angeles – On Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 12 noon, in the beautiful auditorium of the University of Southern California (USC) the Black Staff and Faculty Caucus will host its 34th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.
It has often been said that it’s always darkest before the dawn. One could say this has never been more true than in 1963, the height of the Civil Rights Movement. This year will mark 50 years in commemorating ‘The Movement That Changed The World.’ “The Birmingham Civil Rights Movement“ with respect to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and so much more.
We will be celebrating the vision and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in spoken word, singing and dance performances, this year we will have a special presentation in relationship to the. Voting Rights Act of 1965.Our keynote speaker for this years’ celebration will be none other than Nicci Gilbert-Daniels. You may know Nicci from the powerful and soulful R & B group Brownstone that was discovered by the late Michael Jackson, the television show R & B Divas of Atlanta, or from her clothing line Curvato.
