Sister 2 Sister Puts An End to Print Edition For Good

sister-2-sister-magazine-Oct. 2014 cover*Sister 2 Sister readers will have to go online to continue enjoying their favorite magazine.

Nearly three months after placing the publication’s print edition on hiatus in October, Sister 2 Sister founder Jamie Foster Brown has announced that that they will put a stop to the print edition for good. According to Brown, the decision came was due to issues with the economy.

“My dear Sister 2 Sister readers, after 26 years of ‘Giving It To YOU Straight, No chaser’ we have made the tough decision to cease printing our beloved and very informative Sister 2 Sister magazine due to the harsh economy and plan to focus on our website and other digital opportunities. Sister 2 Sister is a dream that became a reality…truly my life’s work and my joy,” Brown wrote as she voiced her appreciation and gratitude towards Sister 2 Sister’s loyal readers.

“We love and appreciate our subscribers and longtime fans, who have faithfully had the magazine delivered to their homes or picked up a copy of Sister 2 Sister in stores and newsstands nationwide. We appreciate that our readers have trusted our mag to deliver the truth about the world of gossip, along with the best celebrity interviews, fashion, lifestyle topics, and photos that captured your mind, soul and spirit! We feel very proud that our small, but mighty staff always worked long and hard to publish a monthly magazine that folks always would say, ‘I read it cover to cover!’”

Although it’s unclear how the magazine will handle the customers with active accounts, Brown admitted that these issues, among others, are being considered.

“For those with paid subscriptions, we ask for your understanding during this time as we work on the legal side of this complicated process, and we appreciate your patience,” she stated.
