*Actors James Earl and Merrin Dungey have each landed major roles in pilots for Fox, reports Deadline.com.
Earl (“Gridiron Gang”) has been cast in Fox’s comedy pilot “Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life,” a 20-something comedy that celebrates the mistakes and misadventures of post college life.
Earl will play Cooper Barrett’s roommate Barry. He previously had recurring roles in “Glee” as well as two TBS comedy series, “Ground Floor” and “Glory Daze.”
Dungey joins Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot “48 Hours ‘Til Monday.” It chronicles husband and father of three Charlie’s (Rob Riggle) desperate struggle not to let every weekend go completely to hell.
Dungey plays Candace, a family friend and bona fide “super mom” who has three kids, works part time as a lawyer and still is able to make snacks that look like animals, volunteer in class and pick her children up from school on bike.
Currently, Dungey recurs on “Once Upon A Time” as Ursula as well as on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Chasing Life.”
