*Jessica Williams has made it clear, she’s not in line to take over for Jon Stewart at “The Daily Show.”

Somehow a rumor got out that the 25-year-old “Daily Show” correspondent has been on most short lists as a possible Stewart successor. She squashed the rumors with a series of tweets Sunday:

“Fact 1: I’m not hosting. Thank you but I am extremely under-qualified for the job!’ Jessica Williams denies she’s taking the hosting job at ‘The Daily Show.’”

“At this age if something happens politically that I don’t agree with, I need to go to my room & like not come out for, like, 7 days.”

“That being said I am super not right for it, but there are quite a few people who are! Can’t wait to stick around & see what happens.”

Williams, who joined the show in 2012, had sat atop most short lists musing about possible Stewart successors, along with former “Daily Show” correspondent John Oliver and current correspondent Samantha Bee, according to the New York Daily News.

She even scored an endorsement of sorts from the makers of “Hot Tub Time Machine 2.” A scene from the comedy flick includes a scene in which Williams is seen hosting the show in 2025.
