Kanye Finally Gets Around to Apologizing to Beck for Grammy Diss

Kanye West-Beck*Better late than never for Kanye West, who finally apologized to Beck for dissing him at this year’s Grammy Awards.

On Thursday, the rapper took to Twitter to make amends for ruining Beck’s Grammy moment by hitting the stage after the singer-songwriter won album of the year and telling  E! News that Beck didn’t deserve to win the award.

“I would like to publicly apologize to Beck,” he posted to Twitter on Thursday night. “I’m sorry Beck.”

West’s apology comes after Beck shrugged off West’s stage crashing and rant saying, “You can’t please everybody, man. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”

Despite Beck’s taking things in stride, West’s actions didn’t go over well with some celebrities.

“We should let [Kanye] choose who’s going to win the Academy Awards, so that we can put ourselves out of our misery of hearing him talk about the injustices that happen the next morning,” Bravo’s Andy Cohen said.

Although the apology was made, West did confess during an interview on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” that he planned on calling Beck after the Grammy drama but never got around to it.

“I got his number, I was supposed to call but I keep forgetting,” the hip-hop entertainer said.
