*Add Fern Mallis to the list of New York’s fashion elite who have ripped Kanye West in the wake of his Adidas show at the annual event she created – New York Fashion Week.

“I’m kind of over Kanye,” Mallis told the New York Post. And in addition to not liking his music, she says that the rapper’s famous ego and his “agenda is not my style.”

And Mallis wasn’t the only critic that wasn’t that impressed with his collection. The Cut’s critic-at-large Cathy Horyn penned a review on West’s show, noting that the positive views on the clothing had more to do with his fame and power than his talent as a designer. She summed up her thoughts with: “Kanye West hasn’t graduated fashion school yet.”

Also, noted fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone told People magazine: “I’m not into his fashion thing. I think he’s fine as a rapper. I think he’s a joke as a fashion designer.”

On Friday morning, West responded to Mallis’ comments in particular through a series of tweets – basically saying that he doesn’t claim to be a designer, “bigotry” has made his fashion journey hard, and pre-existing fame like his is looked down upon in the fashion industry.
