Paula Patton to ABC’s ‘Runner’ – Joe Madison’s 52-Hour Marathon

Paula-Patton*Paula Patton is another black movie starlet set to lead a TV pilot. She’s officially signed on to star in the upcoming ABC drama, “Runner,” according to Deadline.

The series is based on Turkish show, “Son.” It will focus on the hyper-masculine world of arms dealing, but from a female’s perspective. The series is written by Michael Cooney and directed by Michael Offer.

Patton will play Lauren Marks, a wife and mother who had believed her husband had died in a plane crash, but he’s alive and traveling with a woman who uses his wife’s stolen identity. She is then thrown into a world of crime, Mexican cartels, secrets and people from her past she wants to forget.

*In other  news, Joe Madison will host a special 52-hour broadcast of his SiriusXM show, “Joe Madison The Black Eagle.” He hopes to break the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon hosting of a radio talk show, according to SiriusXM.

The marathon began today, Wednesday at 6 a.m. ET on SiriusXM Urban View channel 126. It will conclude on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at 10 p.m.

He will be raising money for the construction of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. It’s the final museum planned to be built on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
