Cordell Broadus, a four-star prospect and the 26th-ranked wide receiver in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite ratings, announced his commitment to UCLA on National Signing Day.

The teen, ranked 222nd nationally in the Composite ratings, chose the Bruins over offers from Florida State, Notre Dame, Baylor, Nebraska and Miami, among others.

“I just want to play in front of my family,” he said on ESPNU after the announcement.

Broadus will join Diddy’s son Justin Combs, a defensive back for the for the Bruins.

Broadus’ recruitment was well-documented due to his father’s fame, but he earned himself a very good offer list. Arizona State, LSU, and USC were listed among his finalists, but UCLA was considered the favorite ahead of the Trojans, to his father’s dismay.

“I’m throwing all my USC drawers away. I’m 100,000 percent UCLA now,” Snoop told ESPNU after the announcement.
