*While “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” continue its longtime reign as the No. 1 and 2 game shows, Steve Harvey is in the rear view mirror on their bumper.

For the week ending Jan. 25, “Wheel of Fortune” (7.4 household rating, 11.925 million total viewers) and “Jeopardy” (7.0, 10.896 million) remained on top, but “Feud” (6.8, 10.247 million) was in its closest position yet, according to Nielsen estimates.

The 6.8 is the best ever for “Feud.” The game show grew 3% from the previous week (6.6) and was 11% higher than the same frame last season (6.1), when it surpassed the 6.0 ratings threshold for the first time since the advent of Nielsen People Meters in 1988.

Season-to-date, “Family Feud” is up double-digits across the board from last year, including 20% in households (6.0 vs. 5.0).

In the key syndication demo of women 25-54 last week, “Family Feud” (series-high 3.6) towered over both “Wheel of Fortune” (2.7) and “Jeopardy” (2.4) and has beaten the CBS Television heavyweights each week this season. And in adults 25-54, “Feud” (2.9) has now been the top-rated firstrun strip overall for five straight weeks, pulling ahead of “Judge Judy” (2.5).

The “Family Feud” highs come at the same time that Harvey’s talkshow “Steve Harvey” hit a season high (2.1 in households) and also grew in women 25-54 (1.1). “Harvey” was up 5% vs. a year ago and moved up to fourth among talkers in households.

CBS Television’s “Dr. Phil” (3.4 household rating) remained the talk show leader, finishing ahead of Disney’s “Live with Kelly & Michael” (3.3) and Warner Bros. TV’s “Ellen DeGeneres” (2.8). “Kelly & Michael” matched its season high in households while hitting a nearly one-year high in women 25-54 (1.7), a demo in which it tied “Dr. Phil” for the week’s lead.

CBS TV’s “Hot Bench” was the top-rated syndicated newcomer in households for a 19th straight week (1.8), logging its second biggest rating of the season. Another rookie, Warner Bros. TV’s “The Real,” delivered its highest week to date in total viewers (1.53 million) and matched its season highs in women 18-49 (0.8) and women 25-54 (0.9) for the second week in a row.

Warner Bros. TV’s “TMZ” was the No. 1 entertainment magazine for the week in adults 18-49 (1.1), while CBS TV’s “Entertainment Tonight” made it 965 straight weeks on top of the genre in households (3.6 to 3.2 for runner-up “Inside Edition”).

WBTV’s “The Big Bang Theory” was the No. 1 syndicated series overall in both adults 18-49 (3.3) and adults 25-54 (4.3). “Family Feud” ranked second in both categories.
