Suge Knight Lands in Hospital with Potentially Fatal Blood Clot

Suge_Knight*What was initially thought to be a panic attack has turned into something more serious for Suge Knight.

TMZ reports that doctors have determined that the Death Row Records founder was suffering from an “intense reaction” to a potentially fatal blood clot when he was hospitalized earlier this week.

Speaking with family sources, the site added that that Knight’s blood clot is similar to the one that “almost killed him” in a Las Vegas jail three months ago. As a result, the 49-year-old former label head reportedly has been put on blood thinners while doctors assess his situation. In addition, TMZ mentioned that Knight is under constant watch and handcuffed to his hospital bed.

News of Knight’s blood clot comes after he was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday following a court hearing in Compton, Calif., in which he appeared and pleaded not guilty to charges related to a hit-and-run last week that killed 55-year-old Terry Carter and injured 51-year-old Cle “Bone” Sloan.

TMZ notes that Knight was also charged with two counts of hit and run and allegations that he committed a violent felony while out on bail pending another case.

As it stands now, Knight is being held without bail as he faces a potential third strike in this, his most recent case. Knight’s past two strikes are connected to convictions for assault with a deadly weapon.

Knight’s next court appearance comes Monday when he’s scheduled for a bail review hearing.
