“My story always goes to the next level each season,” Loving said. “I am an all around entertainer. I signed on to do the best of my ability. So much has changed. People think reality TV is fake…People don’t tell me what to do. It’s a storyline…we try to get through.”

The prominent awards event started with the red carpet arrivals where I had a chance to talk with SAG-AFTRA president Ken Howard who is also an actor with credits that include Rambo and The Wedding Ringer.

“We had a lot of successful contract negotiations in the collective bargaining,” said Ken when asked about the results so far from the merger of the two actors’ unions SAG and AFTRA. “We’re a merged union and part of those negotiations was that its one contract across the board. It gave us a lot of power, what we hoped for has come.”

Of the 14 the winners included Mark Ruffalo (“The Normal Heart”) for “Outstanding Male Actor in a Television Movie,” Frances McDormand (“Olive Kitteridge”) for “Outstanding Female Actor in a Television Movie,” and “Game of Thrones” for “Outstanding Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama.”
