*Amid the “Fashion Police” drama between Zendaya Coleman and Giuliana Rancic, its executive producer Melissa Rivers posted a #TBT pic of Zendaya and her late mother Joan Rivers, the former host of the E! show.
The pic is Melissa’s way of reminding viewers that Zendaya has always been a friend to the show.
“We [at the show] have nothing but love for Zendaya then and now. A repeat guest host,” she captioned the photo.
The pic comes after Rancic commented on Zendaya’s dreadlocks, saying that they make her look like she “smells like patchouli oil. Or, weed.”
Zendaya responded via Instagram, saying in part: “There is already harsh criticism of African-American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair. My wearing my hair in locs on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of color that our hair is good enough.”
On Wednesday, Zendaya publicly forgave Rancic after the presenter went on-air to apologize for her comments.
