*Aaron Hernandez‘s fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, told the jury at his murder trial in Fall River, Mass. that he told her to dispose of a mystery box, according to ABC News.
The former New England Patriots star, 25, told her to “go downstairs in our storage and remove a box from our home” in which she dumped in a random dumpster the day after Odin Lloyd was killed.
Prosecutors claimed the box most likely contained the murder weapon. Although, this is only alleged as no weapon or other evidence was found.
Hernandez is accused of participating in Lloyd’s death on June 17, 2013. Prosecutors said Hernandez and two other men, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, picked up Lloyd from his house. They took him to an industrial park, which is near the Patriots’ Gillette Stadium.
“Did he indicate what was in the box?” prosecutor Patrick Bomberg asked Jenkins today. “No,” she answered. She added, “His tone, I believe, was normal.”
