*Miami police made a brief statement Wednesday after “numerous” shots were reported at or near the Miami Beach home of Lil Wayne.
After surrounded the property for more than an hour, Ernesto Rodriquez — a rep for Miami police – said the following: “At 12:40 in the afternoon we received a call on a non-emergency line. The individual advised us he had shot four people [at the residence] and requested police assistance. At this point we have not located any victims.”
Rodriguez specified that the SWAT team has not entered Wayne’s residence. The Miami PD acknowledged that “swatting” — making an emergency prank call to police — is a possibility.
Meanwhile, Young Money tweeted that Lil Wayne is “okay” and confirmed that he wasn’t at his home during “alleged events.”
