*On Tuesday morning sheriff’s deputies in the Louisiana town of Natchitoches Parish got a call about a truck that was stuck on the side of the road. But when they arrived on the scene they didn’t see a truck hindging on its side wheels, what they saw instead was two elephants who were preventing the fall.
The truck’s driver, who is also an elephant trainer, Â had walked the elephants out of the cargo compartment and directed them to help prop up the vehicle, sheriff’s Captain Tony Moran said in an interview.
According to Moran, the deputies were “just astonished to see it,” and he called the rescue “very creative.”
The elephants leaned side-by-side, and pushed with their weight against the truck, the sheriff’s photos showed.
