Actress and Heaven 600 radio personality Doresa Harvey to host the 16th annual ‘Uplifting Minds II’ in Baltimore
Actress and Heaven 600 radio personality Doresa Harvey to host the Baltimore 16t h annual “Uplifting Minds II” (ULMII) national talent competition showcase Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Security Square Mall (6901 Security Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21244) from 3 – 5 p.m. The ULMII free entertainment conference’s talent showcase takes place right after the ULMII entertainment business seminar panel discussion from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
Called the “Mid-Day Diva” by her listeners, Doresa Harvey will be assisted on stage by GWAUP Squad Entertainment’s official ULMII DJ. Ten acts will be showcased and judged by the ULMII panel in two of three categories – vocal, songwriting and dance.
Doresa started at Clear Channel as an intern in 1991 and later became a paid intern working as a board technician. She worked her way up the ranks and by 1994 she became the weekend programming and radio personality on “Melodies of Inspiration” on Sundays at V103 FM. Harvey also served as a fill-in on Heaven 600’s Mid-Day shift. Today Doresa Harvey works solely as a radio personality at Clear Channel’s Heaven 600 as host of her own weekday show the “Doresa Harvey Show” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Harvey’s show is so popular, because of her humor and sweet personality, Heaven 600 has become rated the #1 Gospel Contemporary station in the country
Serving on the ULMII entertainment business panel are Radio One Baltimore’s 92Q Jams’ radio personality AJ, also known as DJ Showtime. AJ hosts the “Rap Attack” show with DJ AngelBaby on Sundays at 7 p.m. (www.92Q.com). Baltimore based entertainment business mogul Paul Gardner II (www.TheGardnerLawGroup.com) joins him, along with Long Beach, California based public relations/business strategist and consultant Eunice Moseley, who is also a syndicated entertainment columnist, as well as ULMII Founder (www.ThePulseofEntertainment.com).
The national talent competition judges will include Gardner, Baltimore based stylist and make-up artist Jenneane Collins (Rebellious Beauty); New Jersey based singer/vocal coach Nadiyah Kareem (Superstar Entertainment), and “Rambling Rose” entertainment columnist Rosa Pryor-Trusty (Afro, The Baltimore Times) and she is also founder of the Rosa Pryor Scholarship Fund (www.RosaPryorMusic.com).
