*In case you are wondering what recording artist, Johnny Britt, founder of the Motown/Mojazz group Impromp2, is up to, he’s started 2015 with a bang.
For one, Britt recently took his “Marvin Meets Miles” show to Blues Alley in Washington D.C. and needless to say, his return to the D.C. area was a huge success.
Also, two weeks ago Johnny was featured on trumpet on Annie Lennox’s (from The Eurythmics) song “Waterfront.” His performance with Lennox will be televised in April as part of a PBS Special.
Additionally, on the recent Oscars telecast, Johnny was honored to be one of the singers selected to sing the Oscar winning song” Glory” with John Legend. This was a sentimental performance for Johnny, as he remembered his mother going to Washington for the Dr. Martin Luther King’s “ I Have A Dream Speech.”
Meanwhile, Johnny Britt is currently in the studio working on his new “Marvin Meets Miles” Project” due out this summer. He is also producing a song for Annie Lennox’s daughter, Lola Lennox.
