*TMZ caught up with Marvin Gaye III. and asked him about the heirs winning their $7.4 million judgment against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams. Interestingly Marvin  the 3rd says what Thicke and Williams did to the Gaye family was “disrespectful.”
But hold on because there could be a couple of other battles in the courtroom against Messrs. Williams and Thicke.
It seems that Marvin’s daughter Nona and ex-wife Janis claim they hear similarities between “Happy” and Gaye’s classic “Ain’t That Peculiar.”
Marvin III. was asked about the situation … and he didn’t exactly deny it. So, check out the two songs below (mashed up) and let your thoughts be known.

As far as we’re concerned, we don’t hear any significant similarities between Pharrell’s “Happy” and Gaye’s “Ain’t that Peculiar.”
However, reportedly there’s also talk about the family suing Robin Thick again for similarities between Marvin Gaye’s “Trouble Man” and Robin’s “Million Dollar Baby.” In this case, based on how the judge ruled in the “Blurred Lines” case, they might be in the money again.
